1. Download JDBC driver for MySQL

Download Link: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/

After the download succeeds, unzip to get the MySQL JDBC jar package, it is best to prevent the jar package in the Jlib subdirectory of the SQL Developer installation directory

2. Configuring SQL Developer

Open SQL Developer, click Tools, Preferences, database, third-party JDBC driver

Click Add entry to find the stored MySQL JDBC driver jar package and add it.

3. Establish a connection

Similar to Oracle, select the MySQL option to configure.
