Sometimes when you use Outlook, Instant Search is slow and four or five minutes of email is not found.
Reason Analysis:
Outlook 2010/2007 searches are essentially Windows searches, and Outlook searches can be hard to perform if the Windows Search index file crashes or is improperly set up.
Solution:
We can try to solve this problem by changing the index option or rebuilding the index:
Change index Options
Open Outlook 2010, click File-Options. (In Outlook 2007, click the Office button in the upper-left corner to find "options")
After the Pop-up Options dialog box, click Search in the left window, and then press the Index Options button.
Click Modify.
In the change selected location list, expand the Microsoft Outlook item, uncheck the infrequently used options, and then press OK to save the changes.
Rebuilding indexes
Rebuilding an index usually solves the problem well, but it takes a long time to do so. So it is best to try this method with time permitting.
Click the Advanced button when you open the Indexing Options window in Method 1 above.
Press the Rebuild button to rebuild the index.
Test after restarting the computer.
