Parallels Desktop Stop Windows program detailed steps

To stop windows and all open Windows programs immediately in Parallels Desktop, do one of the following:

Click the Parallels icon in the menu bar, press the option (ALT) key, press and hold the key to select Function > Stop.

If you see the Parallels Desktop menu bar at the top of the screen, select virtual Machine > Stop.

Important: When you use this method to stop Windows, all data and progress will not be saved.

If Windows is set to appear in a separate window, you can choose any of the options from the menu located at the bottom of the window:
