Fault description
An unknown device with a question mark in front of it appears in Device Manager and cannot be driven.
Double-click Unknown Device to see properties:
Cause of failure
The user was not added to install this device driver.
Solving method
Verify that the installed system is: Windows XP and Service Pack 2 is installed, or install Service Pack 2 first.
• Double-click an unknown device to view properties:
• Click Reinstall driver (I) button, the following screen may appear:
• Select No in the image above , not temporarily (T) , and then click Next:
• Choose to install ( Advanced ) (S) from the list or specified location above, click Next:

• Select the system device in the Hardware Update Wizard window above, then click Next, and in the Hardware Update Wizard that appears, select one of the (standard system devices) in the left window (vendor) , and then locate and double-click the PCI standard ISA bridge option in the right-hand window ( model ):
