The following is a detailed procedure for how to do this.
1. Open the pending photos with Photoshop.
2. Press Ctrl+j to copy a layer. You can also right-click on the background layer and choose Copy Layer from the shortcut menu, as shown in Figure 1.

3. Select menu command "filter | blur | Gaussian blur" as shown in Figure 2.

4. Set the radius to 4.5 pixels in the Gaussian Blur dialog box, as shown in Figure 3.

5. Change the layer's blending mode to "overlay" in the layers panel, as shown in Figure 4.

6. Copy the layer again, as shown in Figure 5.

7. Select the Brush tool in the toolbox and set it in the options bar as shown in Figure 6.

8. Then daub on the canvas, reducing the color of the Dodge until you get the final result as shown in Figure 7.
