vectips Texture Week. There's no reason, just because lately I've used textures in a lot of illustrations, and I want to impart some texture tips. Let's start with a warm warm-up, so start by making a ripple texture like a pool of water. These tips are quick and easy to use for the effects of AI, simplification, offset path commands, and some high brightness colors.
Tips
Tutorial examples are created by Ai CS 3. The translation only displays Windows system shortcut keys.
Rectangular
Use the Rectangle tool to create a 5*5-inch rectangle. It is easy to click on the rectangular tool and tap the pop-up Rectangle dialog box and enter the size. Then fill with 100% blue-green, no strokes. Next, copy the rectangle and paste it in front. The selected copy is filled with white and the stroke is removed.
Effect
Select the white rectangle and use the effect-texture-stained glass. When the stained Glass effect dialog box pops up, change the following settings
Cell size = 46
Boundary thickness = 15
L Light intensity = 5
Next, use the object-expand appearance. To keep the texture object selected, the Control panel defaults to the live tracing option. Click the arrow next to the Live tracing button, and then select the tracing option. Or you can use the object-live tracing-tracing option. There is no need to change all the options, only the following can be done.
Mode: Black and white
Path fitting: 1px
Minimum area: 1px
Corner angle: 1
Ignore white: tick
Save the preset in the tracing option so that it can be called again. Next, click the Extension button in the sidebar.
