Photoshop Design Glass Text tutorial

Step 1

Open Photoshop to create a new file with a size of 1280 * 800 pixels. We need to give the background a nice gradient and use the gradient tool (G) to apply a radial gradient around the lower-right corner of the file. I use a combination of colors for #2e5b15– #103533 – #090e13.

Step 2
Now use the Text tool (T) to enter any text you choose, I use the ' Trajan Pro ' font to enter the Richworks, which is one of my favorite fonts, it can adapt to a lot of text effects. I used the bold text style, the color set to #41a993, and don't forget to change the opacity of the fill on the layers panel to 50%, to get the initial transparency of the text. In addition, changing the transparency of a fill does not affect the appearance of the layer style.
Now, the using the-TEXT TOOL (T), type any word of your choice. I typed richworks using the font ' Trajan Pro '. This infact, are one of my favorite font and adapts a lot of the text effects. I used a bold font style with the text color set to #41a993. Don ' t forget to change the Fill opacity in the layers palette to 50%, which is done to get the initial transparency to the Text. Also, changing the Fill opacity does not affect the appearance of the Layer.

Step 3
In the layers Panel, grid the text layer and double-click on the text layer to open the Layer style window. Now to do a series of attempts to set different values, I finally decided to use the following settings. Apply the layer style as shown in the following figure.
Rasterize the text layer in the Layers palette and double click on the text layer to open the Layer Styles window. Now, it's all about experimenting. After doing some meddling and the values, I finally decided to the stick settings. Apply the layer styles as shown below.

Step 4
Now the glass effect is done. Try to change the transparency of each layer style to achieve satisfactory results. The final image should resemble the following figure:

Step 5

Then it's time to smash the glass. This is the most interesting and wonderful part of this tutorial. Many of the things we do depend on our imagination. OK, first select the Lasso tool (L) and make sure the selection type is ' Add to selection '. Refer to the figure below.

Now, start by selecting the first letter section. Hold down the mouse and drag it to the bottom of the letter and use it several times to the end of the other letter (as you would use a pencil). Refer to the image below.

Step 6
Now do this for all other letters. Make sure the scratches are very close to each other, because the chunk of the damaged text is undesirable. If there is an error, press CTRL + D to remove the selection and start again. You can follow the diagram below.

Step 7

Now, pressing CTRL (or Command in MAC) hover across any selection until the scissor of the A appears. This'll cut the selected parts of the the image and your can move it around. So, Using CTRL, move the selected image slightly up so this final image ends up something like the one below:

Step 8
Now, we're halfway through. Let's add some real effect to the text. Use the Magic Wand tool (W) to click on any fragment of the first letter, as shown in the following figure:

Press CTRL + T to use the conversion tool to manipulate the size and orientation of the selected image.
