Let's look at the final effect.
Step 1
Open Photoshop, create a new document, my settings are 1920x1200px.
Step 2
Add a new layer. Fill white, and then make sure the foreground color is black with a white background color. Then click Filter > Texture > Texture. With canvas texture, 75% zoom. Highlight 3. The light source is on the right.
Step 3
Let's add a nice texture. You can use the Kraft material we choose. I use the download from the Shutterstock, you can also purchase this image in the address below. Via
Put the photos in the document. Then set the layer transparency to 75%.
Step 4
OK, let's put the pictures on. I used a photo of a man walking on the grass, and the photo came from here. Put the photo under the texture layer just below. Then use layers > Group layers. Select this group, Layer > Layer Mask > Hide all.
Step 5
This time the picture will be completely covered by the mask. Now we're going to use some watercolor brushes. The brush from this application comes from Brusheezy, which you can download to via at the address below.
You can also find your favorite brushes in the article "20 Web resources that can download Photoshop brushes."
Select one of the brushes, and use the white color to draw a pen on the mask. You'll notice that the photo layer will show up slowly.
Step 6
Select another brush.
Step 7
Keep the brush shape.
