Photoshop Brush Filter Tool Installation Tutorial

Many friends download very beautiful brushes or powerful filters, but do not know how to install, today's PS tutorial takes you step-by-step through the installation of these tools.

　　Installation of 1.Photoshop brushes

The default format for the Photoshop brush is. ABR, if you download the compressed package, please unzip and then install.

Method One:

The easiest way--double-click the ABR brush file, or drag the ABR file into Photoshop, and the brush will automatically be installed in Photoshop.

Some versions of PS can not be installed in this way, if you do not use this method to successfully install, then please look down.

Method Two:

Select the Brush tool, right-click on the canvas, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the pop-up menu, select "Load Brush", then locate your ABR file and click Load.

Method Three:

Click on the menu Edit > Preset > Preset manager, select the brush in the preset type, click on the "Load" button on the right, then locate your ABR file and click Load.

　　Installation of 2.Photoshop filters

The default format for Photoshop filters is. 8BF (also some filters for EXE format executable file), if you download the compressed package, please unpack and then install.

Method One:

If you download a filter that is an EXE executable file, simply double-click the file to install the filter to the Photoshop installation directory (e.g. C:Program filesadobephotoshop cs6plug-ins).

Method Two:

If you download a filter that is. 8BF format, it will be directly. 8BF files are copied to the Photoshop filter directory (the general path is X:program filesadobephotoshop cs6plug-ins or X:program filesadobephotoshop Cs6plug-insfileters, where x installs the PS letter for you).

　　Installation of 3.Photoshop actions

The default format for the Photoshop brush is. ATN, if you are downloading a compressed package, please unzip it before installing it.

Method:

Click the Menu window > action, bring Up the action panel, or use the shortcut key alt+f9. Click the down arrow icon in the upper right corner of the action panel and select "Load action" from the pop-up menu to find the download. ATN file, click Load.

Installation of 4.Photoshop gradients

The default format for the Photoshop gradient tool is. GRD, if you are downloading a compressed package, please unzip it before installing it.

Method One:

Select the Gradient tool, right-click on the canvas, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the pop-up menu, select Load Gradient, and then find your. GRD file, click Load.

Method Two:

Click the menu Edit > Preset > Preset manager, select the gradient in the preset type, click the "Load" button on the right, and then find your. GRD file, click Load.
