Photoshop CS2 A satisfying 10 minor changes

Every time a new version of Photoshop comes out, we'll focus on the most powerful features of the new version, and we'll marvel at what Adobe has to offer and remember only these features.

But I prefer Adobe's enhancements and upgrades to some small features each time it is upgraded. That's why my character Photoshop is not as big or bulky as an image-processing software, because every time you upgrade Photoshop adds or improves small features, and these changes play a big role. When you discover these features, you'll be glad that the places that have driven you crazy have become so simple.

Here are 10 additions or modifications to the Photoshop CS2 that I am satisfied with:

(1) In the free transformation, you can modify a layer of transparency, blending mode
This function is more useful than it sounds, it can be used to spell several pictures into the panorama, the skin retouching or other operations you forget to adjust the transparency of the direct use of the free transform, you can also modify the layer of the blending mode, you can more convenient, direct see the effect.

(2) You can copy pictures in batch renaming
In previous versions of Photoshop, if you used the built-in batch renaming feature, you could choose (a) to modify the file name of the picture in the same directory, or (b) Move the file to the new directory and modify the file name. Whichever way you use it, you will change the file name. Now, in CS2, you can choose to copy, that is, whether or not you choose to modify the filename, you can copy all the pictures into the new directory, and only the files in the new directory may be renamed, and the original directory will not have any changes in the file.

(3) Add new mouse pointer selection
We now have two options to choose the way we use the mouse pointer when using brushes. The first is a full-size pointer (full size cursor) that has the same size as the size of the brush you set. When using a dashed-edge brush, we can use a full-size pointer to get the full effect of the brush's use of the area. The other mouse pointer is "Always Show Center Point" (Always show Crosshare), where the brush's center point is displayed when the brush is used, allowing the user to pinpoint the position of the brush. This setting can be found in the Edit>preferences menu.

(4) Modify the text in the Color picker
This may not be useful for all users, but this small modification suggests that Adobe is constantly updating to make it easier for new users to use Photoshop. In the color picker, the button name "Custom" into the spot-color library or another color library sounds like it was used to create a new color that could not be found in the color picker. In CS2, this button is modified to "Color libraries", which may not help the old user. But for Photoshop beginners, it's sure to make them understand the button's effect faster.

(5) Built-in Help system
Photoshop's help is always being criticized, but in the new version, Adobe has redesigned the Help Center to dynamically display the information you're looking for, like Office Help.

(6) Filter dialog box more intelligent
The traditional Photoshop Filter dialog box appears to be utilitarian. The dialog box is not powerful, and you can't save the settings you use often, so each time you use a filter, you have to reset it. Now that the filter dialog is more intelligent, you can now save some of the settings you commonly use and call it when you need to click a mouse.

(7) Shortcut keys for Canvas size (image size) and canvas size (size)
It's hard to believe that Adobe has never had the built-in image size shortcuts, and now we can use shortcut keys to pull up these two features that we use almost every day. The shortcut key for Image size is alt+control+i (PC)/option+command+i (MAC), and Vanvas size's shortcut key is Alt+control+c (PC)/option+command+c (MAC).

(8) Add the merged image (flatten Images) to the pop-up menu in the Layer Control Panel
It may be that you will be using thousands of functions. Now when you need to merge the images, you can click the right mouse button at any time (mac:cotrol+ click), in the pop-up menu you will find new merged image options.

(9) One click to cancel the link layer
Canceling 15 linked layers is annoying, and now you can remove all links to the layer at the current level and simply click on the link icon below the Layer Control Panel.

(10) You can look at two pictures in parallel
In previous versions of Photoshop, when you opened two of pictures, the picture window overlapped. If you choose to tile, they will be arranged up and down. Now you can look at the two pictures together.
