PhotoShop CS5 to create a stunning, abstract, light and light character poster

In the tutorial, you'll learn how to make an abstract light poster from scratch by lighting effects, noise, and Photoshop CS5 wave filters.

Create a new file (Ctrl + N) in Adobe Photoshop CS5, size 1280x1024 pixels (RGB color mode), resolution 72 pixels per inch.

Use the Paint bucket tool (G) to fill the background with black.

Find a ready-made photo of a character. Here, I will use this photo I found from Deviantart. I have to thank the author of it.

Choose a pleasing tool, such as a pen tool (P), Magic Wand Tool (W), magnetic lasso (L), or any simple filter > extract.

When selected, inserts a new layer.

Under the Layers panel, locate the Create new fill or adjustment layer and select hue/saturation.

Drag the Saturation slider to the left to reduce the saturation of the color.

Use the flexible granular round pen (Soft Round Brush) on the new layer and set the opacity to 15% in the options bar.

Use color for #ac007a and #2e0077 brushes to smear the area around the character. Category:
