Filters Required: Halftone pattern, polar coordinates
Today we will use the filter to draw a life buoy, before we begin to draw a look at the final results of this article, by careful observation, first imagine, to draw the life preserver in the end will use what filters? You might want to do some random textures with filters, and it's just incredible to have this kind of regular graphics.
1. Start Photoshop CS, create a new square canvas, create a new layer, fill it with white, set the foreground color to red, the background color white, perform the filter → sketch → halftone pattern command, and open the Halftone Pattern dialog box, where you can set the pattern type to straight, size, and Contrast values are 12, 50, after applying the filter, the image is covered with red stripes, then the edit → transform → rotate 90 degrees command to rotate the stripe layer, so that the stripes stand up, the effect as shown in Figure 1.
2. Perform "filter → warp → polar coordinates" command, in the Polar Coordinates dialog box, select the "plane coordinates to polar coordinates" single option, at this time the red stripes to the center of the image is radial distribution, the effect is shown in Figure 2.
3. Select the Elliptical marquee tool, hold down the "Shift+alt" key, click the mouse at the center of the image and drag outward to make a positive round selection (the selection will determine the outer diameter of the life buoy) and then follow the "select → deselect" command and press "Del" to delete the image in the selection.
4. Select the selection again, execute the "Choose → transform Selection" command, press the "Shift+alt" button to drag the handle, so that the selection to the center of the image, and then press the "Del" key to delete the image in the selection, when the life Buoy basic molding.
5. Add "inner Shadow" layer style to life buoy layer, so that the three-dimensional effect of the life buoy, and then follow the "layer → layer style → create layer" command so that the life buoy layer and the "inner Shadow" layer style separation, and finally add a "projection" layer style for life buoy layer, the effect as shown in Figure 3.
