First turn on Photoshop to import the portrait image. In general, the imported image will be polished, so that the image of the light dark and color effect more vivid. Here, select Image > Adjust > Brightness/contrast to increase brightness and contrast. The effect is shown in the following illustration.

Execute Menu "SELECT > Color Range" and select Dim tone. Set as shown in the following figure.

When you select the shadow portion of the image, press "Ctrl+j" to copy the shaded section to the new layer. The operation is indicated as shown in the following figure.

Select Back to the original portrait layer, and then perform the "Selection > Color range", this time select the midtones. The operation is indicated as shown in the following figure.

When the range of Midtones is selected, press "Ctrl+j" to copy to the new layer. The operation is indicated as shown in the following figure.

Select the Magic Wand tool, and in the original portrait layer, select the blue hat and the high light portion of the hair. Then press "Ctrl+j" to copy the part you just selected to the new layer. The blue hat and the high light part of the hair are the most important features of the characters, just the dark harmonic midtones have no choice, here to add. The selection range is shown in the following figure.

OK, after the basic layer is fixed, merge the midtones layer and hair and hat into one layer and name it "midtones". Dark tone is named "darkened". Cancels the display of the original portrait layer, as shown in the following illustration.
