Photoshop Instance Tutorial: Drawing the Download folder icon

Introduction:

Icons are a very important part of most interactions and web design. Although the icons are small, making them is often a big challenge. In this tutorial, we will describe how to use different shapes and reflections in Photoshop to make a download folder icon. Here we go!

First step New Document

Open PS and create a new document (Ctrl + N). The arguments are as follows, and then use the Pen tool (P) to create the following shapes. (Figure 01)

Resolution: 72DPI; color mode: RGB; Size: 600x600 px.

Second Step Pen tool to draw basic shapes
Use the Pen tool to draw the part behind the folder, and then draw the blue stripes. As shown in the following figure. (Figure 02)

The third step completes the basic type
After drawing the finished folder, continue to add the paper and arrows as shown in the following illustration. You should now have five layers, and each shape will have its own layer. Don't forget to give each layer a recognizable name. (Figure 03)
