Picasa, a photo management software released by Google

When logging on to Gmail today, I accidentally discovered the image management software Picasa launched by Google. From the introduction on the website, I found that it is a photo management software with exquisite interface design and poor functions, so I downloaded and tried it, and found that the software was really attractive.
Because there are many photos on my machine, I used ACDSee to manage images. However, it has always been felt that the startup speed of ACDSee is very slow, and it also occupies a lot of memory, there are many unnecessary features. The Picasa software allows us to instantly view images without waiting for a long time. Picasa is an independently charged image management and processing software. Its interface is beautiful and rich in functions. Now that Google has changed to free software, it has become a part of Google. Its most outstanding advantage is that it is very fast to search photos on hard disks. when you enter a word, when you are about to enter the second word, it immediately displays the searched image. Regardless of the size and space of the photo, you can find the desired image in a few seconds. However, it took more than a minute to search for the same image!
Compared with ACDSee, the management interface and method of images have the biggest advantage of browsing images from the "Global" perspective, and there is a slide in the lower right corner, you can drag to zoom in or out the thumbnail at will, which is very convenient.

the timeline function of Picasa is very interesting. It is classified by time and displayed as a timeline, super cool, and very convenient.
Picasa provides easy-to-use functions such as generating webpages and sending greeting cards by email. Follow the prompts to complete these steps. This is also true for the function of modifying images (although some friends complain that the function of modifying images is too weak). For some friends who do not need powerful and complex functions but want to view images conveniently, it is useful.
In general, Picasa is an image management software that allows you to quickly search, edit, and share images, from the features described above, we can see that in terms of software functions, what it pursues is not big but complete, but convenient, fast and efficient. In fact, this is also the biggest feature of Picasa. However, everything has two sides, and Picasa is no exception. During the trial, we found that Picasa also has many shortcomings, mainly in the following aspects:
1. Compared with the luxurious Windows XP, the Picasa interface is a little "gray-nose", and the interface is a little lighter. Sometimes you don't know where to operate it;
2. Images cannot be viewed in full screen.
3. Compared with ACDSee, Picasa supports a relatively small number of media formats, especially because it does not support GIF animation.
however, Picasa's outstanding performance is sufficient to make it an essential software installation. Relying on Google's big tree, Picasa will certainly become better and better.
