Pop-up windows with Dreamweaver MX 2004

When we browse some Web pages, we often see some Web pages pop-up some information window or browser window to display some Web site bulletin or some advertising information, want to know how these windows are made out? If you don't know yet, see how this article uses the Dreamweaver MX 2004来 to make these pop-up windows!

One, pop-up information window

Start Dreamweaver MX 2004, open the page where you want to load the pop-up window or create a new page. Press the SHIFT+F3 command to open the Behavior Settings panel.

(1) In the blank area Input Pop-up Information window to express the content.

(2) Press "OK" button to return.

This time we found that the content of the behavior Settings panel has changed a little. The "OnLoad" under the event indicates that the window is ejected when the current Web page is opened.

If you don't want to open the window immediately when you open the page, you can click the down arrow on the event.

We can set other responses by pressing the DOWN arrow open menu, such as "OnClick" to indicate that the information window pops up when the mouse clicks, "onUnload" means to close the current page pop-up message box.

Now we save the page and press F12 to browse, how about the information window shown in Figure 5 is displayed when the page is opened.

Second, pop-up page window

The process of making a pop-up page window is similar to the Information window, and first we have to be ready to open the page when we browse the current page, and then choose to open the browser window command in Figure 1.

(1) Click on the "Browse" button to select the page window to be ejected

(2) Set the fixed width and height of the open window

(3) Set properties, where you can include the menu bar, toolbars, scroll bars, resize handles, and so on.

(4) Set the open window name

After you have made these settings press the "OK" button, and then save the page, we now preview how to browse the contents of the current Web page is also not a pop-up page window.

Reasonable use of pop-up windows can play a multiplier effect, such as promotional sites, announcements posted on the website, production pop-up ads. But everything should have a degree, in the same Web site recommend that you should only set a pop-up window, because too many pop-up windows will affect the interest of users to browse, which will play the effect of outweigh the benefits.
