1, Start PowerPoint 2013 and open the presentation, on the Slide Show tab, in the Settings group, click the Down Triangle button on the record Slide Show button, and select the "Start recording from scratch" option in the Open list, as shown in Figure 1. PowerPoint gives the "Record Slide Presentation" dialog box, selects the appropriate check box to select what needs to be recorded, and then clicks the Start Recording button to begin recording, as shown in Figure 2.

2. When the slide goes into full screen state, PowerPoint will record the narration that the presenter reads out of the microphone. When you have finished recording a slide narration, switch to the next slide and then record it, as shown in Figure 3. When the recording is complete, press the ESC key to exit the slide show status.

3. After exiting the recording state, PowerPoint will enter slide sorter view, and the audio icon will appear in the slide. When you switch to normal view, and you select the audio icon on the slide, a floating control bar appears, as shown in Figure 4. You can preview the recording effect of the narration by clicking the Play button on the floating control bar.

Attention

In the record slide show Drop-down list, select the Clear option. Select the clear narration on current slide option in the cascading list to clear the narration on the current slide, and if you select the clear narration on all Slides option, clears the narration from all slides in the presentation; Clear timings on the current slide the timings for the current slide recording are cleared, and the show timings for all slides in the presentation are cleared if you select the clear timings on all slides option.
