Install Flash Player on your computer.
In the normal view of PowerPoint, display the slide on which you want to play the animation.
Click the Microsoft Office button (top left), and then click PowerPoint Options.
Click Common, and then under PowerPoint preferred options, select the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon check box, and then click OK.
On the Development Tools tab, in the Controls group, click More Controls.
In the list of controls, click Shockwave Flash Object, click OK, and then drag on the slide to draw the control.
Resize the control by dragging the sizing handle.
Right-click Shockwave Flash Object, and then click Properties.
Click the Movie property on the Alphabetical tab.
In the Value column (the blank cell next to Movie), type the full drive path to the Flash file that you want to play, including the file name (for example, c:myfile.swf), or type its Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
To set specific options for how to play the animation, do the following, and then close the Properties dialog box:
To automatically play the file when the slide is displayed, set the Playing property to True. If the Flash file has a start/rewind control built into it, you can set the Playing property to False.
If you do not want to play the animation repeatedly, set the Loop property to False.
To embed a Flash file to share your presentation with others, set the Embedmovie property to True. (However, to run the Flash file, you must register the Shockwave Flash Object control on any computer that is running the presentation.) )
