Project Communication Management-report Performance

Report performance is the process of collecting and releasing performance information, including status reports, progress measurement results, and predictions.

The performance report process includes regular collection, comparison, and analysis of benchmarks and actual data

Performance reports must provide appropriate information to each audience.

Detailed performance reports may include:

1. Analysis of past performance

2. Current risks and problem status

3. work completed in this period

4. Work to be completed in the next period

5. Summary of changes approved in the current period

6. Additional information that must be reviewed and discussed

Input:

1. Project management plan: Provides the benchmark information of the project. The benchmark is the integration of the scope, progress, and cost parameters of the project.
2. Job performance information: implementation information collected from project activities. Such as the status, progress, and costs of deliverables
3. Performance measurement results: Actual Progress performance, actual cost performance, and actual technical performance
4. Cost prediction: Based on the cost forecast information from the cost control process
5. Organizational Process assets

Tools and technologies

1. Deviation Analysis: a post-event review to identify the cause of the discrepancy between the benchmark and actual performance
2. Prediction Methods: Time series method, causal/metered economics method, judgment method, and other methods
3. Communication Methods
4. Reporting System: a standard tool for project managers to obtain, store, and publish project cost, progress, and performance information to stakeholders.

Output:

1. Performance Report: organizes and summarizes the collected information, and compares it with the performance measurement benchmark to analyze and display the performance.
2. Organizational Process assets (updated): should include report formats and lessons learned documents
3. Change Request: the overall change control process should be implemented.
