Continuing Provisioning Services 7.8 Introductory series tutorial five using the Provisioning Services console
Currently, Provisioning Services 7.8 supports three ways to add devices, namely manual add, Bulk Import, and auto-Add.
Device, we can simply understand that it is a computer, which may be a computer without a hard disk, with a network card installed (or not supported by PXE boot).
Device Collections: Some devices that can be understood as having some common characteristics (such as using the same virtual disk, the same operating system), in a real-world production environment, in order to facilitate management, users can build multiple device collections based on customer usage (e.g. operating system requirements, application software usage).
In the introduction of the relevant operation, I am in the learning environment through the new or renamed the establishment of two device collection, one is AD (Finance department), one is HR (personnel). and two virtual disks (devices), one for Windows 2012 and one for Windows 2008, were generated by the Image wizard.

In order to be familiar with the process of manually adding devices, I set up a virtual machine (no hard disk) in Hyper-V before the operation, simulating the actual devices that need to be added

Select "Attach virtual Hard disk later".

Move the default online card (does not support PXE boot)

Add Legacy network adapters (PXE boot enabled)

Connecting an internal virtual switch (private network)

Start the virtual machine and record its MAC address. MAC addresses are important information that is required to add a device.
650) this.width=650; "title=" DC027 "style=" border-right-width:0px;background-image:none;border-bottom-width:0px; padding-top:0px;padding-left:0px;padding-right:0px;border-top-width:0px; "border=" 0 "alt=" DC027 "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m02/7f/c2/wkiol1cr0znb3zjpaada5wz64kq550.jpg "Width=" 646 "height=" 290 "/>
The following operations are performed in the PVS console.
Right-click a Device collection (HR) and select Create Device
650) this.width=650; "title=" DC028 "style=" border-right-width:0px;background-image:none;border-bottom-width:0px; padding-top:0px;padding-left:0px;padding-right:0px;border-top-width:0px; "border=" 0 "alt=" DC028 "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m00/7f/c2/wkiol1cr0zrw63d9aafvmmpw4u8958.jpg "width=" 866 "height=" 543 "/>
Enter the name of the target device you added and the MAC address previously recorded
650) this.width=650; "title=" DC029 "style=" border-right-width:0px;background-image:none;border-bottom-width:0px; padding-top:0px;padding-left:0px;padding-right:0px;border-top-width:0px; "border=" 0 "alt=" DC029 "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m01/7f/c2/wkiol1cr0zvwlfaaaadczoixwli849.jpg "width=" 494 "height=" 405 "/>
On the Virtual Disks tab, assign the virtual disk to the device.
We can add multiple virtual disks to the device. When the virtual machine has a local hard disk, we can also tick "list local hard drive in boot menu". When this is started, a boot menu appears for the user to choose how to start.

Add the device to create the computer account.

After you start the virtual, the device information displays the IP address that is automatically obtained, as well as the PVS server information.

Start the virtual machine and complete the boot
If you do not create a computer account in AD, the following information appears in the login.
