In order to facilitate the Internet access through public information networks such as China Telecom, teachers and students in our school can access those resources that can only be accessed within the campus network (some databases in the library, OA Office systems, etc ), the Network Center has activated the internal access proxy service. All faculty and staff who have applied for a campus network account (jaccount) and activated the email service can enter their own accounts and passwords to use the internal proxy function provided by this center.
If you need to access resources that are restricted to access on campus through a network other than the campus network, set the proxy server in your browser,

If you are using ADSL dial-up Internet access, you can set it here: Enter

1) Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu of Internet Explorer );

2) In the pop-up "Internet Options" box, select "Connections" and click "LAN Settings ..." (LAN Settings) button.

3) In the displayed "LAN Settings" dialog box, select "use a proxy server" (use a proxy server) in "Proxy Server ).

4) Fill in the address bar with the server name: inproxy.sjtu.edu.cn and port: 8000.

Enter your account and password as prompted. (When setting proxy, note that if you access the Internet through dialing, you must set proxy in the dialing setting of Internet Options; if you access the Internet through broadband, you need to set a proxy in the LAN Settings of the Internet option.) If you do not need to access resources restricted within the campus network, do not use this proxy function to avoid affecting your access speed.

When the ADSL dial-up accesses the Internet, the proxy server settings are different from the general settings (refer to here for this method ).

First, open the "Tools" menu of IE browser and the "connection" tab in "Internet Options", and select your network connection method in the box below "dial-up and virtual private network settings, click "set" on the right. For example:

In the pop-up setting box, select "use proxy server for this connection ......", Then set the proxy address. For example:
