PS post-production turn the day into Night effect chart. because of the rush of travel, we often see the beautiful prospects, but not necessarily to stay in the evening to shoot their night, this will undoubtedly bring us a lot of regret.
For example, this is the afternoon when Thomas passed the south wall of the AMA Dablam peak. This angle of the AMA peak Majestic, but I was anxious to go to the next destination, and did not have the opportunity to shoot this angle snow star scenery. In order to make up for this regret, I use a few simple steps to convert it into the night, drawing out my imagination under the stars of the Dablam of the AMA.
But not all daytime films are suitable for converting to night effect, backlight and cloudy film converted into moonlight after the effect of more blunt, sunny-day film is the most suitable for such treatment.
First of all, Lightroom or ACR to reduce the exposure of the film.
Then raise the white, simulate the moonlight snow and land contrast effect.
The night is darker than daylight, and saturation is lower because of poor light. I've lowered the saturation of 30 in this picture.
Now this picture is a bit of a night, but there's always something missing. What's at night? The lights and the stars, of course.
Then I found a picture of the sky from my own material library and dragged it into PS, which was also taken in the mountains of Nepal.
Pull an S curve to increase the contrast of the star layer.
Then change the layer blending mode to filter color.
