(1) PSP Wireless Configuration Overview
Because PSP devices have different versions, you need to refresh the software system to version 2.0 or later for devices earlier than Version 2.0 to easily use the wireless network.
The objects discussed in this article are PSP with version 2.0 or above:
In addition, the wireless network card of the PSP device is based on the 802.11b standard and can only reach 11 M. Therefore, if you want to use the wireless network card to transmit data between the PSP and the computer, i'm afraid it will take a long time to wait.
However, if you use a PSP wireless network card to connect to a wireless network to upgrade or download some resources and play games online, it is a good choice.
(2) wireless router settings
Before discussing the wireless parameter settings on PSP, we should first set the wireless router to enable the wireless network. Generally, the wireless networks suitable for PSP are the same as those we usually use. Currently, network devices support adaptive speed of 11 m and 54M. Therefore, as long as the speed is not strictly limited to 54M or higher, PSP can still negotiate with wireless devices smoothly.
Go to the wireless router Management page and find the wireless parameter settings option. Enable the "wireless launch function" and set the corresponding SSID number and RF segment. Of course, to make our PSP better find the wireless network, at the beginning, we suggest you select the check box before "allow SSID broadcast.
TIPS:
The wireless network adapter in PSP can also connect to a hidden SSID and a wireless network encrypted by WEP and WPA. Of course, these are all advanced settings, which will be introduced later.
After confirmation, the wireless router will automatically restart to make the configuration take effect, and the settings on the wireless router have been successfully completed.
