Python Dictionary (Dictionary) get () method

Describe

The Python dictionary (Dictionary) get () function returns the value of the specified key if the value does not return a default value in the dictionary.

Grammar

Get () method syntax:

Dict.  Get(key,default=None)        

Parameters

• Key--The keys to find in the dictionary.
• Default-Returns the default value if the value of the specified key does not exist.

return value

Returns the value of the specified key if the value does not return the default value of none in the dictionary.

Instance

The following example shows how the get () function is used:

#!/usr/bin/pythonDict= {' Name ':  ' Zara ' ,  ' age ' : 27}  "Value:%s"  % Dict get ( ' age ' print  "Value:%s"  %< Span class= "PLN" > Dict. ( ' Sex ' ,  "never" Span class= "pun")                

The result of the above example output is:

Value:+value:never
