Random number generator in NS2.

1. Seeds and distribution

Five types of distributions are introduced here, including the following: (a), and (). Parameters required for distribution and use are provided.

2. Test the random number generator.

This section contains only one simple example, which is not described in detail. The following is the procedure for getting a random number from the example:

Set Seed

Set RNG [New RNG]

$ RNG seed 1

Set Distribution

Set R1 [New randomvariable/Pareto] # Set the distribution type

$ R1 Use-RNG $ RNG # Set the seed

$ R1 set AVG _ 10.0 # parameters required to set the distribution type

$ R1 set shape _ 1.2 # parameters required to set the distribution type

Puts [$ R1 value] # use random number through value
