Reinstall IE and oe

Microsoft kb318378 mentioned the way to reinstall IE and OE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378

1.	When logging on as an administrator, clickStartAnd then clickRun.
2.	InOpenBox, type regedit, and then clickOK.
3.	Find the corresponding Registry subitem, right-clickIsinstalled(REG_DWORD) value, and then clickModify. To reinstall only the Internet Explorer 6 browser components on Windows XP, use the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/Microsoft/Active Setup/installed components/{89820200-ecbd-11cf-8b85-00aa005b4383} To reinstall Outlook Express 6 on Windows XP only, use the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/Microsoft/Active Setup/installed components/{44bba840-cc51-11cf-aafa-00aa00b6015c}
4.	Change the value from 1 to 0, and then clickOK.
5.	Exit Registry Editor and install Internet Explorer 6.

I have encountered the OE problem before and re-installed IE, but it has not been fixed. Maybe this can be used later. Add it to favorites first.

You can directly use % WINDIR %/INF/ie. inf to reinstall IE. For Win2k, reinstall IE and then reinstall ie6sp1. Or run the command % SystemRoot %/system32/rundll32.exe setupapi, installhinfsection defaultinstall 132% WINDIR %/INF/ie. inf

Another method for restoring IE in MS is rundll32 setupwbv. DLL, ie6maintenance "C:/program files/Internet Explorer/Setup/setup. EXE "/g" C:/Windows/ie uninstall log. txt
