When we need to remotely use the computer or server, we choose to use the remote desktop. However, when multiple users use remote desktop. "The client has reached the maximum number of connections. Please try again later ".
Cause:
If it is a server managed by multiple people, you may feel that this is a normal phenomenon. In fact, it is not. The following describes the restrictions and regulations on Remote Desktop in Windows2003 Server:
1. Maximum number of connections: a maximum of two comcurrent connections and one console connection. There are 3 in total.
2. When you exit the remote desktop, the current account is not logged out, but the remote window is closed directly. Although you quit, the logout function is not used. By default, Windows considers the connection to be valid. [Equivalent to whether you are connected to the server]
Solution:
1. Use mstsc/V: IP/console to connect to your server.
2. After logging on to the server, open the task manager. Select the User tab to delete users that are not currently active.
3. Open [Administrative Tools]-> Terminal Services configuration, in the pop-up form (1)
4. Click the connections node in the tree structure on the left, and RDP-TCP appears on the right.
5. Double-click "RDP-TCP" in the right-side form. In the displayed dialog box (2)
6. Select the session tab, modify the "End disconnected session", and select how long the connection will end after it is in the disconnect status. (3)
7. Change "When session limit or connect broken" to "disconnect from session ".
other possible causes of connection failure:
network reasons:
DNS (when using a domain name to connect)
no route configuration (when using server name)
the termianl service client or server port is incorrectly configured
cause of certificate:
You must belong to the admin group or remote desktop group
group policy reason:
the domain controller (DC) only allows administrators to log on to other types of users by modifying the Group Policy. For example, the user is only affiliated with the domain user group (the user is added to this group by default) and the remote connection to the ad is denied
