remove Eclipse's configuration directory solution that causes Eclipse to fail to start
I just saw someone in the group who deleted Eclipse's configuration directory, Eclipse failed to start.
This is because Equinox can create configuration directories, but cannot create config.ini files on their own. When you start eclipse, you need to use the configuration content in Config.ini.
When configuration is removed, starting eclipse automatically rebuilds the configuration directory.
You can then create a new Config.ini file in the configuration directory, adding the following five elements to the Config.ini file. Osgi.splashpath = Platform:/base/plugins/org.eclipse.platform
Osgi.bundles = org.eclipse.equinox.common@ 2:start, org.eclipse.update.configurator@ 3:start, Org.eclipse.core.runti Me@start
Eclipse.product = Org.eclipse.sdk.ide
Osgi.instance.area.default = @user. Home/workspace
EOF = EOF
After you save the file, restarting Eclipse is no problem.
