Remove unwanted items from Windows XP custom notifications

Right-click the taskbar in Windows XP, select Properties, click the Custom button in the notification area in the open window, or right-click the system tray area, select Custom Notification, and open the Custom notification window. Active and urgent notification icons appear in the current project area, and inactive icons are listed in past projects, many of which are unwanted programs that we have already deleted. The following method removes these unwanted items from the custom notification.

Click start → run enter regedit, open Registry Editor, and navigate to Hkey_current_ User\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\ Traynotify Branch, remove the IconStreams and pasticonstreams two items from the right window, and restart the machine to remove unwanted items from the custom notification.
