To confirm the wireless signal name, wireless password, and wireless channel of the main router, this article uses the following parameters for example.

Note: The main operation of wireless bridging (WDS) is done at the secondary router, with only the wireless channel of the primary router fixed.

1, modify the management IP address

Login router's management interface, click Network Parameters >> LAN port settings, modify IP address (such as the main router IP address is 192.168.1.1, then the secondary router modified to 192.168.1.2), save and restart the router.

Note: After reboot, use the modified IP address to login to the management interface of the secondary router.

2, modify the wireless settings and open the WDS scan signal

Use the modified IP address to login to the Router management interface, click Wireless Settings >> wireless basic settings, set the same SSID number and channel with the main router, check open WDS, click Scan.

3, select the main router signal

Locate the wireless SSID of the primary router in the Scan page and click Connect.

Note: If the primary router signal is not scanned, verify that the primary router is on, and try to reduce the distance between the primary and secondary routers.

4, enter the password and fixed the channel

Enter the wireless password for the main router at the key location and click Save when the input is complete.

5. Set up the wireless password of the auxiliary router

Click Wireless Settings >> Wireless security settings, choose the same encryption mode as the main router, set the same wireless password in the PSK password as the main router, and click Save.

Note: The sub-router's SSID, wireless password can be different from the main router, if you need to implement roaming, you must be the same as the primary router.

6. Shut down the DHCP server

Click the DHCP server >> DHCP service, the DHCP server chooses not to enable, click Save.

Note: After the DHCP shutdown is successful, restart the router and reboot by clicking on the System Tools >> restarting the router and clicking restart the router.

When the reboot is complete, in the router's admin interface, click Run Status, observe the wireless status >> WDS status, and the display succeeds indicates that the bridging WDS Setup was successful.
