The most popular Linux operating system is ubuntu. But this time we want to run ASP. NET in the Linux operating system, so we chose opensuse. I am going to install opensuse 11.3 in Oracle VM virtualbox.
First go to The opensuse official website to download the openSUSE-11.3-DVD-x86_64.iso file.
Run Oracle VM virtualbox 4.0, create an opensuse virtual machine, and set it as follows:
To enable the host to access the virtual machine from the network, the network connection method must be set to bridged adapter, as shown in:
Write down the MAC address and assign it a static address on the Broadband Router, as shown in:
Click "start" in the tool bar of the Oracle VM virtualbox to start installing the opensuse operating system.
Press the "F2" key and select "simplified Chinese" as the default language. Select "Install" from the main menu ". Click "Next" until "desktop selection ":
The default is "KDE Desktop". I actually chose "GNOME Desktop", because the default desktop of the Ubuntu operating system is "GNOME Desktop". I am familiar with it and don't want to change it. We can see that if you want to install a production server, you 'd better select "minimal server selection (text mode )". Click "Next". Now is the time to plan the disk partition:
Just use the suggested partition. Click "Next" to go to the "user settings" step:
Enter "User Name", "password", and other projects, and click "Next" to go to "installation overview ":
I changed the project in "software selection", removed the "desktop function", and added ". NET development ".
After confirming the installation is correct, click "Install" to perform a long installation process:
After the software package is installed, it is automatically restarted, as shown in:
Finally, complete the installation on the desktop of the opensuse operating system:
So far, the opensuse 11.3 operating system has been installed.
After the opensuse virtual machine is disabled, the "Optical Drive" should be removed from the "startup sequence" in the "Settings" of the virtual machine, as shown in:
