Run MySQL with the command line on your Mac

1, install MySQL

Download MySQL 5.5.23 http://www.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/on the official MySQL website and choose the 64bit version based on the configuration of my machine.

2, start MySQL on the command line

Installed location in/usr/local/mysql

Then an alias was made:

$alias mysql= '/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql '

You can now enter

$mysql-U root-p

The default password is empty

After logging in, you need to add a password for the root user

>use MySQL;

>update user Set Password=password (' root ') where user= ' root ' and host= ' localhost ';

>flush privileges;

Now you can use MySQL like Linux on Mac OS.
