SCVMM R2 Operations Management 11: Adding hyper-V clusters
The previous blog post and everyone described how to add a trusted Hyper-V host and a non-trusted Hyper-V host. But we need to know that in many cases we already have Hyper-V's high-availability environment before we go to SCVMM, so today we're going to introduce you like and add the existing Hyper-V cluster in our environment to SCVMM.
Since some of the relevant theories have been introduced in our previous blog post, we have started our practice in this blog post directly:
First look at the experimental environment:
Server name |
IP Address |
Cluster address |
The role played |
Operating system |
Vmmdc |
192.168.1.1 |
|
Domain Controller |
Windows R2 |
Vmmsql |
192.168.1.2 |
|
Database server |
Windows R2 |
Vmmscvmm |
192.168.1.2 |
|
SCVMM Server |
Windows R2 |
Vmm-01 |
192.168.1.4 |
192.168.1.10 |
Cluster Node 1 |
Windows R2 |
Vmm-02 |
192.168.1.5 |
Cluster Node 2 |
Windows R2 |
With these conditions in place, let's start with the experiment:
First open the manager for SCVMM:

Click Construct----Server:

650) this.width=650; "height=" 443 "title=" clip_image006 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image006 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/6F/AD/ Wkiom1wkuhqraa4paafqm0xz4d8455.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
On the Home page location, click Add Resource----Hyper-V host and cluster:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 484 "title=" clip_image008 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image008 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/6F/AD/ Wkiom1wkuhqzcbx-aaftiuzk3-4691.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Select the Windows Server computer in the trusted Acticve directory domain, and click Next:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 484 "title=" clip_image010 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image010 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/6F/AD/ Wkiom1wkuhvrwts6aagbeqtosw4901.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Specify the run as account here, you can use the existing or manually specify, here I am using manual input, click Next:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 484 "title=" clip_image012 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image012 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/6F/AA/ Wkiol1wkulswqr_maafp-b8f1my158.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Here select "Specify Active Directory queries to search Windows server computers"----"Production ad query":
650) this.width=650; "height=" 484 "title=" clip_image014 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image014 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/6F/AA/ Wkiol1wkulscwjn4aaf3iuobbmk252.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
As you can see, the system lists the Hyper-V hosts and clusters that you can add to us, where we tick Vmmcluster and click Next:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 484 "title=" clip_image016 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image016 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/6F/AD/ Wkiom1wkuhyt_ye1aaewsbawaww688.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Here you can choose to assign the attention we added to that host group, where I keep the default and click Next:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 484 "title=" clip_image018 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image018 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/6F/AD/ Wkiom1wkuh3r0btnaaeyhvl0zkw311.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
System Display Summary, confirm error, click Finish
When you click Done, you can view the health status based on your job:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 443 "title=" clip_image020 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image020 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/6F/AE/ Wkiom1wkuh3i9pawaaic5pau11m907.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
You can see that the system is adding:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 463 "title=" clip_image022 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image022 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/6F/AB/ Wkiol1wkulbh96kzaakn7tsba0o367.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Add Complete:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 466 "title=" clip_image024 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image024 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/6F/AB/ Wkiol1wkulab8f3laahsmwpb9ko694.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
After the add is complete to view can be viewed in the construction----server----ALL hosts:
650) this.width=650; "height=" "title=" clip_image026 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image026 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/6F/AE/ Wkiom1wkuh7s0bqwaagg0qkzces072.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
As you can see, our cluster has been added successfully!
