SED r command uses

Source: Internet
Author: User

The r command in SED will interpret any character after it as a file name, until a carriage return or single quote, and generally the R command is written in the following ways:

Sed '/pattern/{r file1

Other cmd

} ' file # because it uses {} Here, you can add other commands

Sed '/pattern/r file1 ' file

Sed-e '/pattern/{r file1 '-e ' other cmd} ' file # here uses-E, equivalent to the first usage

Other examples are:

Sed '/aa/r file2; ' File1

If the/aa/match r command reads "FILE2;" Content, not "file2" content, is currently not named "FILE1;" of documents;

Sed '/aa/{r file2} ' file1

It is also wrong to hint that the SED:-e expression #1, char 0:unmatched ' {' means R command thinks "File2}" is the filename
