SET NOCOUNT How to understand

My simple understanding is that:

When executing SQL statements

SET OFF UPDATE SET = 1 WHERE = 1

Here are the tips that appear

Replace the SQL

SET  on  UPDATE SET = 1 WHERE = 1

The prompt that appears is

It is obvious that if set to on, the specific count is not shown below

If set to OFF, the following displays the number of count rows

If you execute set NOCOUNT on this SQL, then the count of SQL Server is turned off, and if you want to see the number of rows executed, then set NOCOUNT off .
