Windows XP SP3 Client

1. view the Server IP Address

2. Check whether the system has installed the DHCP service and establish a CD mount point to mount the CD.

3. Go to the CD and view the content, and install the DHCP service installation package.

4. Check the installation package of the DHCP service

5. view the configuration file of the system DHCP Service (unlike other services, the system does not improve the dhCpD. conf configuration file, but we can use the example file that comes with the system to edit it)

6. copy the dhcp configuration example to the system configuration file and edit it.

7. The DHCP Service is relatively simple. Here we only need to edit the gateway, mask, and address pool. The specific situation depends on the scope of use.

8. Edit the Start port of the DHCP service (if there is only one Nic, eth0 is set by default)

9. Restart the network service and DHCP service, and check whether the dhcpd is normal.

10. Verify the IP address of the Windows client (if the IP address is successfully obtained, the default IP address of the DHCP service set up in Windows is obtained from small to large, but the opposite is true in Linux)

11. After the Linux system is restarted, the DHCP service will stop, so I want to set the DHCP service to start with the system.
