SFTP uploading and downloading server files

SFTP is an interactive file transfer program. It is similar to FTP, but it is encrypted and has higher security than FTP.

Connecting to a server

SFTP [email protected] or [email protected]. Enter Prompt for password

Sftp>

Download service file to local

Sftp> get/var/www/index.php/home/fuyatao/
Download the index.php from the/var/www/directory of the remote host to the local/home/fuyatao/directory

Uploading local files to a remote server

Sftp> put/home/linuxgl.pdf/var/www/fuyatao/
Upload the Linuxgl.pdf file under the local/home/downloads/directory to the remote host/var/www/fuyatao/directory.
