Shared Files cannot be seen in virtual machines-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. Run redhat9.0 on the Virtual Machine and run cd/mnt on the terminal to view the cdrom, floppy, and hgfs folders. Does it mean that the vmware tool has been installed successfully?
However, after setting the shared folder, you can use cd/mnt/hgfs + ls-l to view the content in the shared folder on the host.
Sometimes an error occurs when setting Shared Folders: guest is not running seems to be another vmware tool installation failure.
