Share settings of Windows 7 and Mac OS X

In Windows
In XP, it is very easy to set up shared folders and MAC system sharing, because Windows XP does not provide Vista and windows
7 more security measures; although these security measures provide security for the system, the access between systems remains unchanged. Next, let's talk about how to set up sharing to enable
Windows 7 and Mac users can access each other.

First, set Windows 7:

Choose Control Panel> network and sharing center> change advanced.
Sharing settings (changing the observation mode of the control panel from category to large icon
View)

Select parameters. Note: You must set a password for the user. Otherwise, the Mac user cannot connect to a user without a password.

The next step is to change other network settings-this is a problem with Vista.
Choose Control Panel> Administration Tools> Local Security Policy.
Go to "Local Policies> Security Options"
Select "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level ".
In the displayed window, change to "Send LM & NTLM-use NTLMv2 session if negotiated"

Make sure that the MAC machine and Windows 7 are in the same network group.

Check win 7 user groups: control panel> system> advanced system settings

Set Mac as follows:

Choose System Preferences> network. Select the network interface you are using. For example, if you are using a wireless network, select airport.
Click the Advanced button to go to the configuration page, select the WINS tab, enter the Network Group Name of win 7 above to the workgroup, and click OK to save.

In this way, you can see Mac machines in windows, Windows 7 machines in MAC finder, and
Finder> connect to server (command
+ K) to connect to the shared folder of Windows 7. Note: Mac finder is sometimes unstable and you may not see the Windows machine, but it does not prevent you from accessing the sharing of Windows machines through IP addresses.

Conclusion:

Both Windows 7 and Vista are cumbersome when setting shared folders. In fact, in Windows, you can create a wizard interface to guide normal users to complete the sharing settings. Currently, Mac provides both security and convenience.
