Let's take a look at something about my site (my Sites) in SharePoint.
My site is a platform for end users in SharePoint 2013, and in version 2013 it is a central manifestation of the social modules in SharePoint features.
My site provides users with a wealth of social networking and collaboration features that allow users to browse and share interests, plans, business relationships, content, and other data with people in the organization.
My site makes it easy for users to share information about themselves and their work, which can encourage collaboration, build and disseminate expertise, and provide relevant content to the people who need it. After you deploy my site, users can access their my sites by clicking their name in the upper-right corner of the SharePoint Site page, and then clicking About me. Users can click on any photo or name in the newsfeed to see the user's My site profile.
After we install SharePoint Server and initialize the 80-port Web application, everything is planned for us, and we can use it directly, but we will delete it ~, as shown, will/my my site this site collection, process not table, Only one root site collection is left after the deletion. After deletion, click on me in the upper right corner, will report 404 error.
One of the first things to consider is where to put my Site host site collection into which Web application, Microsoft recommends creating a separate dedicated Web application to act as a carrier for my Site host site collection, and of course you can create it to an existing site set.
Here we create a new Web application, and when all is done, we will replace the existing my site configuration. Of course, that's what Microsoft is suggesting.
Manage Web applications, application management, central administration
Create a new Web application, port or whatever.
I will usually replace the ContentDB name with the last GUID to the port number, so it is better to identify, click the OK button to create a Web application, a moment later.
Once created, click the link to create a site collection, template select My Site host under the Enterprise tab.
Wait a moment. When the creation is complete, the host site collection is created.
Go back to Web application management, click on the Web application we just created, click on the "Manage Path" button above and add our own path like MyClass.
Click Self-Service Site creation, configure self-service build station.
The preparation is basically done, and next we configure the Management Service application.
Admin Center, Application Management, manage service applications, click inside, and then tap User Profile Service application. Click on "My Site" to set up.
Fill in my Site host location and personal site location.
After completion we go back to the 80 port website Click on me and you can see that the port is already on the 88.
In central administration, view the list of site collections under the 88-port Web application, and you can see that the user's personal site collection is automatically created.
