SharePoint Study Notes-LINQ to SharePoint-another method for generating entity classes for Sharepoint site

Generally, we can use the spmetal command line to generate the entity classes of the SharePoint site. This method is flexible. However, visual studio2010 also provides us with a simple and quick graphical interface to generate entity classes.
1. Download The CKs Visual Studio extension. You can download the extension for Sharepoint Server or for Sharepoint Foundation kit.

2. Use CKS to generate entity classes from SharePoint site.
After you install the above CKS tool, open a project, Open Server Explorer, and create a new SharePoint website connected to your debugging in Server Explorer. For example

 

Enter the SharePoint website address you want to establish a connection

Select the website, right-click the website, and select generate entity classes from the context menu.

So we can find the entityclasses generated by CKS for us in the related directory of solution.
