User Profile Service Configuration synchronization connection
After the user profile Service application is created, the next step is to synchronize the user in the ad. Of course, other types of data sources, such as databases, or BCS, are supported in addition to AD. Only ad is described here.
Go to User Profile Service Application management interface, click Configure Synchronization Connections:
On the open page, click Create New Connection:
In the New Connection page, enter the domain name, have permission (Replica Directory changes) to access the domain account, and then click the Populate button, it will show the organization structure inside the domain, Select the items to sync to the organization inside SharePoint.
Click OK to go back to the admin page of the user profile Service application, click Start Profilesynchronization, and start syncing. After the synchronization is complete, the user profile number is displayed in the upper-right corner:
This indicates that the synchronization was successful.
Click Manage user Profiles to view the sync in user profile:
