Quota Template

When managing SharePoint farm, administrators do not want site collection to grow indefinitely, so you need to set a size for site and not allow it to be exceeded.

But if you set each site collection individually, it can be cumbersome. For example, every employee has personal site, if there are hundreds of people, then one of the settings will be very troublesome.

In SharePoint, you can set the quota template so that it can be reused. Log in to central administration using farm administrator and go to application Management:

SharePoint has a personal type of template built in.

You can also create a new building here. In the new, there are two limit values, one is the maximum capacity, and one is the alarm capacity. If the site collection size reaches the alarm capacity, it will send mail to the administrator of site collection.

Once saved, in the new site collection, you can select the newly created quota template.
