This article on a more radical point of view of the Photoshop upgrade, more is on the side of the Sketch, the translator @ asphyxiation Red Leon that this is not enough objective, only to provide some ideas of foreign design peers. In addition, Medium also has a more support for Photoshop CC 2015 designers, recommended to take a look at this article: my favourite New Features of Photoshop 2015)
Adobe has updated the Adobe CC 2015 product line yesterday, adding many new features to it. In addition to other photographic-related features, such as repair tools, this upgrade is designed to provide a lot of new content for designers. I believe that for most Sketch users, many of the content will look familiar, what is the difference between them? Why is this still a good thing for Sketch? This article will explain why Sketch need not worry about these features, from the Sketch and the user two angles This upgrade of Photoshop.
Design Patterns
Open Photoshop's design mode and you'll find that it's not Sketch! But looking closely, it seems to be different. The Math inside Value-fields and pixel-independent workflow features have been developed in the Sketch for many years, but not seen in Photoshop this time. The entire right sidebar looks bad, everything seems messy, not Sketch so concise and easy to use.
Composite style
One of the outstanding features in Sketch is a composite style, which is good for creating shadows or padding. It is also the function that allows us to achieve more authentic, lifelike or gorgeous effects. Photoshop CC 2015 does not support this feature well, and unfortunately its style windows are also very confusing (such as "drop-shadow" layers), and much of the work needs to be done here.
Artboard (Artboards)
This is my favorite. Sketch the artboard feature on the first day, and now Photoshop is following: Creating Artboards in Files and providing tools to manage them. The feature looks good at first glance, and Adobe even has an obvious joystick around the artboard-just like sketch.
Why doesn't Sketch care?
It looks like Photoshop has only a few features to move from the Sketch, and when you dig carefully, you may find more, such as layer-based export capabilities and IOS mirror tools. Sketch is the Sketch's forte in collecting the ideas of designer users around the world and gradually turning these user needs into reality.
Adobe has always wanted to keep up with the user's needs quickly, but probably because it's too big to make it easy. Bohemian coding is a small company that helps it quickly add the functionality that users need, and Adobe may only copy the features that have proven to be effective and reasonable.
Why is this good for Sketch?
Sketch is a great tool and is ahead of the competition, and Adobe gets a lot of inspiration from it, and this update is a big step forward. Many designers who have not used Sketch because of customer requirements or other reasons can now experience these new features and features in Photoshop, will this affect bohemian coding?
As you can see, Adobe's problem persists: what tools are appropriate for designing apps or responsive Web sites? All Adobe products seem to do this, and many tutorial sites recommend Indesign, iiiustrator or Photoshop, But we know that they may not be perfect, and they are not born for it. But Sketch can. Photoshop is too big and bloated, and developers are creating Sketch from Photoshop, so Sketch doesn't have to worry about it and it can go further.
Adobe, is that enough?
Many designers have put their hands on the Sketch, and even Apple has released a template for Sketch's watch interface, and other companies such as Sony and Etsy are working with Sketch. $99 Price, Sketch is lightweight enough, and there are more excellent features that can be learned by competitors, it shows how independent design software has grown and become more professional. Go on, Adobe, get more features, it's not an egg to use (the translator fog), Sketch or Sketch.
