SMB configuration knowledge in Fedora

Source: Internet
Author: User
After installing the three RPM packages on the Fedora disc, after the SMB service is started, the user name and password must be logged on. Solution: Add a user to the SMB, for example, if LEVI # addusrlevi # SMBpasswd-alevi is used, a password is required. If you enter the password, many users may not have the permission, setting the root user as SMB is okay # SMBpasswd-aroot is okay and then proceed, but the prompt is no permission

Install the three RPM packages on the Fedora disc, and then start the SMB service.

Generally, the login username and password are required.

Solution: Add users to SMB, such as LEVI

# Addusr levi

# SMBpasswd-a levi

Enter the password.

This kind of user may not have many permissions, so it is no problem to set the root user as an SMB User.

# SMBpasswd-a root

No problem

Next, I went in, but I was prompted to have no permission.

Method: Set security = share

Still not working. In the sharing option

Public = yes

Guest OK = yes

In this way, you can

Modify the permission of the shared folder

# Chmod 777-R/home
