Software environment: Generally including database (MYSQL,SQLSERVER,ORACLE,DB2), running middleware, namely application server, such as Tomcat,jetty,jboss,weblogic,webphere, and operating system environment, such as Windows,unix (Aix,solaris), each version of Linux and so on.

Hardware environment: such as PC SERVER,IBM, HP, SUN (has been acquired by Oracle) small machines and so on;

Development tools: IBM Open source Eclipse and derivative Myeclipse,sun NetBeans, or fee-based IntelliJ idea and so on.

These are the basic elements to build an enterprise application, and your application runs on it.
