Software Interface Design Skills
Best Program The interface is the interface that you can use without reading the operation manual.
Principles:
1. Consistency
If you can double-click a project in the list to bring up a dialog box, double-click a project in any list to bring up a dialog box. A unified font size, a unified color, a unified prompt word, a unified window position, and a button must be in the same position of the window.
2. Set the standard and follow it
Refer to some industrial standards, such as IBM interface design specifications or MS design rules. It provides 90% of the specifications you need.
3. Setup Wizard
If a user does not know how to perform the next step after using a function, they will give up. If the operation process is the same as the manual workflow, the user will try to complete it. The best way to guide users is to set up a process wizard on the interface.
4. Prompt information must be appropriate and standardized
The prompt information must be easy to understand and unified in terms, such as "wrong data entered" and "User code cannot exceed 8 bits ". Consistent wording. The prompt information should also appear in a consistent position, such as the pop-up Prompt window, top of the window, or bottom of the window. Users should be called in a unified manner. For example, if "the user has entered the wrong data" or "you have entered the wrong data ", sometimes the system prompts "the taxpayer has entered the wrong data", which will make the user feel at a loss.
5. Good procedures for Reference
Learn more about the interfaces of similar software, and analyze and understand the interfaces until the user interfaces that can be differentiated are better and worse. However, it cannot mechanically imitate others' interfaces.
6. Unified Functions
There are some common functions, such as adding, modifying, deleting, and viewing. In the same software, these functions should have the same operation method. For example, almost all of our programs have the operator management function, but there is no module with the most complete and unified functions for calling. As a result, although programmers copy this module to each other, after modification, the operation and management of each program are different.
7. Gray-Changing Functions
Sometimes some functions are unavailable. It is better not to delete these buttons or projects, but to make them gray to unavailable, which helps users understand the functions of the entire program.
8. default button
Use the default button that does not have a broken function. In each window, a default button is usually defined for the convenience of users. When users press the Enter key, they can quickly execute a function, however, you may accidentally press the wrong return key. When the default function is executed, unrecoverable operations, such as deleting or saving, cannot be performed.
