Software Interface Design associated with Touch Screen

This afternoon, I went to the recently opened "guanggu Bookstore" in Wuhan to purchase books. I saw two touch screen inquiry machines at the door of the bookstore, and there were still people using them. After an empty machine is found, the touch screen query machine of the bookstore directly displays the website of the bookstore (www.ovbook.com ). The taskbar at the bottom of the Windows system of this touch screen query machine was pulled up and crowded with at least 30 IE Windows. The slow response was a mess. It was hard to pull the taskbar back to the normal width with your fingers and close the three IE Windows (I found that the hit rate of the cross on the IE window was really low when I clicked the top right of the touch screen with my fingers ), the one next to it is empty, and I have to change it. The speed of the other one is not slow, and the taskbar is hidden. I am stuck in the query input box on the bookstore Website: How should I type Chinese characters/letters on the touch screen? Handwriting directly on the touch screen? I tried it. No. How can I use a soft keyboard of Microsoft pinyin? The taskbar is hidden. Right-click the "copy" and "Paste" functions in the pop-up menu? The problem is, how can I right-click the screen with my fingers? People like me who are familiar with computer operations think it is not easy to use, and others may feel more troublesome. It is no wonder that people on the computer will leave in a short time. In desperation, I left the touch screen and walked into the bookstore ......

On the way back, I thought of the Web-link touch-screen inquiry machine I used before. The Guangzhou Tianhe Railway Station's urban traffic line query machine, beside its display screen, has a trackball similar to a laptop to simulate mouse input. Although the huge trackball is not very easy to control, it can be used to increase the hit rate of small buttons on the webpage compared with human fingers. There is no small button on the whole display interface of the touch screen query machine of Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower, so there is no need to use trackball. However, they all have one thing in common. They all use web bookmarks' links as much as possible to navigation users. There is no input box for users.

In addition, I encountered a similar question when taking the MCSD test. The question is roughly as follows: Some of the users of a software project you are developing have poor eyesight. In order to facilitate the use of this part of users, what should you do? The options are as follows:
A. Use the largest possible font size
B. Invite users with various visual acuity to participate in the test
C. Invite almost invisible users to participate in the test
......

I selected B at the time. Similar situations occur in actual projects. If conditions permit, I will try my best to do the same. Although I don't want to sing praises for Microsoft, from this point of view, the product developed by Microsoft is more humane than most software developers in China, therefore, it is not surprising to win in the competition.

It can be seen that when designing the software operation interface, pay attention to the following points:
1. the user's input/output devices must be considered;
2. provide users with a relatively easy and free operation interface as much as possible;
3. The user may accidentally damage the interface during operations. In this case, what should we do to avoid the user's trouble in the next use;
4. Users of various levels should be considered, and the operation level of a small part of users should not be regarded as all users.
