In all previous spring boot and spring cloud related posts, the creation of the spring boot project will be involved. There are many ways to create them, either manually by Maven or by scaffolding, or by using the Spring INITIALIZR page tool mentioned in the Spring Boot QuickStart article. I believe every reader has his favorite and most skilled way to create.
In this article we will introduce the spring INITIALIZR tool in embedded IntelliJ, which, like the web-provided creation function, can help us quickly build a basic spring Boot/cloud project.
In the menu bar, select File=>new=>project., we can see the Create features window as shown. The address that the initial Service URL points to is spring's official spring INITIALIZR tool address, so the project created here is actually based on its web tools.
Click Next, wait a moment, we can see the Project Information window as shown here, where we can edit the engineering information we want to create. Where type can change the type of project we want to build, such as: Maven, Gradle;language can choose: Java, Groovy, Kotlin.
Click Next to go to the Select Spring boot version and the Dependency Management window. Our concern here is that it includes not only the dependencies in spring Boot Starter Poms, but also the various dependencies of Spring cloud.
Click Next and go to the last few details about the physical storage of the project. Finally, click Finish to complete the construction of the project.
The spring INITIALIZR in Ntellij is based on the official web implementation, but the tools are invoked and the results are built directly into our local file system, making the entire build process smoother, without having experienced the spring boot/of this feature Cloud enthusiasts may wish to try this different way of building.
