1. When a database is copied from one computer to another, the attached database is read-only, which is a permission issue.

The solution is as follows:

1. OpenSqlserver Configuration Manager

2. select sqlserver 2005 service on the left side of the sqlserver Configuration Manager window. Some list items will appear on the right side of the window. Right-click sqlserver (MSSQLServer) or sqlserver (sqlexpress) and choose Properties, select the network service of the built-in account as the local service.

 

3. Open sqlserver 2005, right-click on the read-only database, select the option on the left of the Properties window, and change "database as read-only" to false on the right of the window, click OK.
